Cyanogen released demnächst ein Update, welches weitere 750Mhz aus dem G1 zaubert. Leider kann darunter das Akku leiden. Wer sein Handy mit derartigen Updates bespielt, riskiert die Garantie zu verlieren.

CyanogenMod ist eine von einem Privatmann modifizierte Version des Android-Betriebssystems.

T-Mobile G1 V2 Bigfoot Image Discovered

The guys over at BoyGeniusReport.com have managed to unearth what they believe is the T-Mobile G1 v2 (Bigfoot) handset.

We first heard about G1 v2 Bigfoot early last week from a leaked T-Mobile 2009 roadmap that listed possible release dates for a number of android powered devices.



Other than this rendered image very little information is known about the T-Mobile G1 v2, but BGR are claiming that the device will be available in October priced at $148 with a 2-year agreement at Walmart.

Star Droid Star Gazing App From Google

Google plans to release a star gazing application for the Android platform in the next few weeks. Star Droid will allow users to use their Android phones to identify star constellations in the night sky.



The Star Droid app will use Android's built-in GPS technology to match the position of the device with existing maps of space, and attach relevant name tags to the stars and planets that can be seen through the phone's viewfinder.

The Star Droid application will be available free to download from the Android Market, and is expected to appear in the Market soon.
